Cacophany of Color
December 1, 2011
A parade of geese.
A cacophany of autumn's warm..and winter's coolest hues.
I couldn't decide if it was the order in the chaos...or the chaos in the order - that intrigued. I wasn't certain if it was the geese....or the colors that enveloped - that inspired.
In one breath - I see an early winter landscape. In the next - I see a series of notes that string together and form a singular melody...with a symphony of beauty and sound surrounding.
Or perhaps it's a cake of many layers...a coat of many colors...a world of ambiguity.
Forever and always - open for interpretation and question.

Great composition - the colors of the geese and nature around them match exactly.
Best regards Reinhold
They do look like a series of notes, as well-composed as your lovely photograph. Thank you for visiting my blog yesterday. I really appreciated your encouraging message.
A very nice image and reflections.
Love it.
Very lovely. The colors speak "Autumn".
such wonderful autumn colors
I love this....the coloring is splendid...my favorite
And it's all there in the eye of the beholder! That's what I love about these scenes, Marcie.
Yup, open to interpretation. I like the reflection bundles of the tall grass. It creates a pattern of lines that further enhances the picture.
duck parade, nice to see them... in a good composition from your hand
amazing rich shot
I definitely see the music.
Order and choas blended so perfectly.
Marcie - I like the "cake of many layers". Each a different flavor. Combined - giving you a taste of it all. I really do like the horizontal bands of color and texture - each unique and different, but together making a meaningful whole.
And thanks for the 365 Project encouragement - if there is anyone who could provide inspiration on a "daily practice" it would be you.
OH my Marcie...how can it get any better? Absolutely breathtaking!
What's great are the crystal clear geese and the smudge of color behind them, but not so smudged as to prevent seeing every tree trunk and reed. Perhaps just a bit more space between the lead goose and the edge of the frame would have given this one a more expansive feel.
You describe the scene beautifully and poeticly. Gorgeous image
Can't get enough of those birds!
Sure is something about the mix of light and color this time of year . . not that the geese will notice as they continue to rule the world !
Dreaminess mixed with rank and file form.
Beautiful shot, love all the complementary tones.
It seems that you have all of your geese in a row Marcie... i am still working on the ducks around our lake....peter:)
You seem to drop in on days that are not my best photos.Marcie.... come back an browse my archive a while won't you....re-peter:)
Ahh! those reflections :-)
This is paradise for the geese!! Great find and catch!
Marcie: One reason your photos are so wonderful is that you have such a great imagination. You see more than meets the eye.
i really like how the background seems to meld into an abstract scene.. lovely capture..
Wonderful contrasts and colors
