Imbalanced Balance
December 8, 2011
Perhaps - after all the grey and soggy wet - I was seeking out some color. Some humor. Some laughter. Some light.
Perhaps - it was balance I was seeking..in this season's imbalance.
Perhaps - it was just something different. Something simple. Something graphic. Something that has no real story. Something that just so happened to catch my attention and never-ending wandering eye.

Excellent capture! The lines and colors make such a wonderful graphic design.
Fantastic, creative abstract. What a wonderful sight on a gray and rainy day!
It reminds me of the TV test card that used to come on late at night or of the trial print my printer produces after I install a new cartridge.
A never-ending wandering eye is the perfect tool for awesome photography. :-)
"Perhaps - it was balance I was seeking..in this season's imbalance." How perfectly put! I understand your words completely...this photo is beautiful and comforting with its straight, neat lines and cheerful colors.
The composition is absolutely brilliant!
all the lines and shadows, they grab me... a bit Mondriaan
So refreshing in a too-dull world . .
so vibrant and colourful and those horizontal and vertical lines make for a really great shot for the middle of winter!
I love the lines and colour....already craving colour this early in the winter :)
Imbalanced balance is the best kind :)
Marcie - OK, you had me at "graphic". It's a beautiful, saturated Mondrian. Love the lines and the shapes of color. An amazing abstract delight. One I wish I had taken.
This is a perfect example of miksang (good eye)...the lines/the colors....such a distinct image Marcie!
Loved it when I opened your email! Such a change that it startled me! Great job!
Yay! Love the colors. Love the design!
Wow - bright and sheery and abstract. Excellent to see and a great job of keeping all those lines in square.
I thought of Mondrian right away! Great energetic image. And I also love the grey watery late fall early winter ones.
Is it for real? I can see the siding of a house but the rest looks like someone's artistic touch.
Marcie ("Piet") Scudder . . . .
Very well done.
This is fun; the color does give one a lift.
this is a delight ..and the questions amaze me!!
I am always on the lookout for the "visually interesting" and I can tell that you are too. It almost looks like a piece of graphic art!
Bravot, c'est tout simplement bien exploité.
Bravo !
Sans le "T" mais avec le point d'exclamation, bien sur.
Very good abstract.!
A poster of this will look great in my living room, say 20x30?
I'm so glad your eye wandered here--fantastic abstract
I almost had to double check when I saw this photo - not your usual style but I am absolutely in love with it.
can i call you mondrian? :)
...and after the wildfowl, something completely different and equally outstanding
wonderful color and lines. very photogenic place.
