Silence

Nothing but the crunch of pine needles beneath my feet. My heart beating. My steady breath.
Silence.
My senses fully engaged - awake..alive..aware. I see the light. I hear the birds. I smell spring's sweet fragrance. I taste the cool and damp. I feel the earth solid.
My thoughts hop and jump and skip from one to another. Seemingly unconnected..but intrinsically linked. Ideas come..and go. Questions - old and new - appear..and then float away. Problems - seeking resolution scream out at me for attention.
Silence.
Whatever it is..will wait. No questions need answering.. No problems need be solved. Not in this moment. Not right now.
No space for any of this in the seeming emptiness of silence. The silence is full...whole complete.There is nothing more that's needed. This is all there really is.
Hush....
