What a lovely composition!
How come it's not White on Blue? ;P
Wow, that really exemplifies solitude. I love the blue shades with a tiny offset of white. How peaceful it looks.
Lovely image Marcie. All of us are a mere speck...... A wonderful serene compo.
Wonderful minimalism that perfectly illustrates the solitude. The blues are gorgeous.
great serene shot.. it suit's the weekend just find.. :)
Solitude on open ocean
Are you saying it's hard to imagine paradise, Marcie??? :)
beautiful minimal shot, great composition
This is almost heaven to me..... sailing with the two of us and nobody around...
Wonderful blue's, love the white birds on the water.
The interview with Anita is wonderful, I went through her archive of Amish pictures even before I read the interview, I already wondered how it was possible to take those fabulous pictures.
I lived in Hatfield Pa, for a year, near Lancaster County.
Being Mennonite, I do understand their way of living. ( I do have to admit that I am glad I am not born Amish)
excellent shot, love the mood
A splendid shot, nice compositon! I like it.
so soothing ~ ~ ~
I love that.
Beautiful! Elicited a deep breath from me. Mmm.
Fantastic image! Love that white, tiny boat!
Gorgeous and serene.
So quiet, peaceful and resolute. So many images of water lately. I miss having a body of water around me!!! I was in Bar Harbor when I was 19 on my first road trip with a girlfriend and a golden retriever; first time I ever saw the Atlantic Ocean. Looking at your image now I see and feel both the complete quietude the water can bring as well as its power and strength.
Lovely images, places the human in context with the environment.
Ooohh, pretty!
I just edited a similar picture and saved it in my put-on-the-blog-someday folder.
The well placed horizon and the jmmensely complicated sky that is all the shades of blue make this a worthy post.
I love the ocean, too. To look out on all that blue brings peace to my mind. Great capture, and the boat is perfecly placed!
Every time I read or hear about someone (sometimes very young and/or very alone) who does a 'round-the-world' or one of those very extended trips, I do imagine. Every time I get scared.
Bleu, bleu, bleu, comme le ciel de Provence...
Lovely ~ Sacred Bleu ~ happy creating ^_^
lovely and tranquil. like a thousand stars in the reflecting water.
Mindblowing, soulfreeing & great, Marcie. Again your minimalism rocks! What a gem!
All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
Absolutely gorgeous. And so serene. Make me wish I was sailing today.
Ah, those blues look so inviting. And that bit of a sailboat, the perfect eye catcher.
perfect title for this perfect blue image . Love it . It is so simple but so appealing !
Love this all the blue and that bright white sailing-boat.
I think this shows perfectly why people go and find peace and quiet on a boat. The water goes on forever!
