Dazzled and Dazed
October 11, 2012
And the rain ceased its endless chatter. And the fog's weight lifted. And the sun bathed the world in wild and crazy livid vivid color.
She took two brave steps forward into the day's bright light...and then quickly retreated. One step back.
She looked right and left and up and down. She looked everywhere for that safe harbor..that place where she would not be heard or seen...that space where she might disappear and hide.
Finding nothing and nowhere...and without knowing what else or where - she stood her ground. She looked those dazzlingly bright lights square in the eye - daring them...staring them down.
I can - I heard her stumble and mumble. I will.
She took one impossible step forward. She smiled. She tipped her hat. She courtseyed. She bowed.

gorgeous colors!!!!
It really doesn't get better than that, does it! (But, funny, I'm just as quick to say that about the foggy, misty images!)
Wonderful words & capture combo which you titled just right!
perfect reflection shot
Wonderful still life reflections. Such fabulous eye candy!
Beautiful words and image, Marcie.
I wish you a wonderful weekend.
xo.
What a performance!
Perfection...two steps forward, one step back. This is my life! But like this beautiful bird, I keep marching forward. You always inspire...thank you!
A bow to you both.
The color and reflections are beautiful, but the framing feels a little distracting to me. I feel that by putting the waters edge dead center you're not drawing my eye into this lovely photo, and I'm not sure what you want me to see in it. By giving equal weight to the bird, tree, water, foliage and reflections, I'm just not clear on what the subject of the photo is.
Lovely autumn colors. Glorious shot !
Well that image sums up the beauty of autumn in one click. Those saturated colors, not just once, but reflected.
What intense color!
Glowingly gorgeous! You never cease to amaze me!
Like everything is on fire. Stunning.
This is beautiful!
lovely light, even more lovely reflections.. :)
so beautiful and twice;-)
My goodness the palette of colors you get to enjoy and shoot is remarkable Marcie--this is just spectacular
