Transience

Some days - it's the morning sun that gets me up and going.
Other days - it's the birds and ducks and geese that inspire me. On those days - I like to believe that it is they who beckon me to dance.
There are more days - when there's nothing at all and in particular calling. I just know that I do what I do...for no other reason than 'because'.
And then there are these fleeting days. When the leaves have transformed themselves. When every single day is a different color..is always a new unexpected surprise. When I look at the world in constant awe and wonder. Is it possible that anything could be as beautiful as this?
I remind myself to be present. To breathe it all in. To enjoy its transient beauty.
In the quiet - I wait and I watch. And - the leaves gently swirl and twirl and silently fall.
