The Mirror's Reflection

She stared in the mirror...and the mirror stared back.

It wasn't exactly the reflection she'd expected...but it was the reflection that there was. And she thought she didn't like it..and then she thought that maybe she did. And then finally she decided that it is just what it is...

Upside down and inside out and very backwards. It all seemed so wrong..and - yet - it was so very right.

Good enough - she concluded. I am good enough - today

And she smiled. And she laughed. And she danced her way.

there seems to be a theme in these beautiful musings of "good enough" and "intention," and each time you remind all who read your words, we all thank you. we are all good enough.

How touching. How perfectly appropriate for mirroring my exact thoughts when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror as I cruise through my 40's. I have an entirely different image of myself...and then I catch a little glimpse...sometimes I frown...but more often I just think "onward and upward"!!

Accepting without judgement. So much of what our practice is about, right - yet so challenging. Lovely words, Marcie!

A universal 1 second inner dialog for many woman I'm guessing, but beautifully articulated.

Lovely, simple leaf and reflection. About once a year I'm shocked by what I see reflected in my bathroom mirror--who is that old woman?

This is me dancing too Marcie...because no matter our size or age, if we reflect joy and acceptance, it's pleasant. Love the way you're capturing autumnal leaves!

Beautiful! Autumn leaves will have that effect......but never fail to fascinate....:~))

Lovely mood. Makes me feel a bit like twirling a little dance, celebrating -- with all of us -- just how very far we've come...

A image of great simplicity and great emotion - about having the strength to like what we see in the mirror.
