Simply Breathe

For a moment - I allowed myself to lie down in the piles of leaves....to look up at the sky...to see. I gave myself permission to simply feel....to simply breathe...to simply be.
This season of changing leaves - will soon be ending. So many of the trees have bared their branches preparing for what's to come.
The earth felt soft and warm. The air fresh and crisp and cool. I wondered if I was imagining....or if what I was seeing was truly real. I wondered if my mind was up to its usual games and tricks. I wondered if it was just teasing.
I was reminded that the camera never lies. That a picture tells one thousand words..and sometimes more. And so...and to that - I pointed my lens up towards the sky.
Yes..yes - I thought - what I'm seeing is really as beautiful..and as fleeting as all of this.
