Where They Fly

In spite of it all - the endless grey..the mist and rain that won't stop falling...the lack of sun's light that might otherwise guide and offer up direction.

In spite of not knowing. What's up..what's down..what's east or west. What's forward..what's back. What's right...what's wrong.

In spite of all of these things..and so many more - it's always a wonder to me that they trust in themselves and their inner compasses and guides..and that they know exactly where it is that they're going.

it is enviable to have such a clear path...even without light.

as usual, your practice is our pleasure.

it IS totally amazing! great capture! I had my camera in hand yesterday, heard them coming, but when they got overhead they were off just far enough off to the side that the tree tops blocked them from my view.

What comes to my mind is if they can trust their inner compass...why can't we? Thank you for this image and for stirring up this thought.

I wish I could fly as assuredly as those birds do, not questioning what lies before me. How beautifully put, and what a stunning shot!

Skimming the treetops, trusting "their inner compasses and guides". You are a master at contemplating nature and seeing the lessons it holds for our own lives.

I have always been so in awe of this also, Marcie.
Somehow, they just know.
I think it would be very nice at times, to share some of that knowledge.
Have a wonderful weekend!
xo.

And significant to me is that they work together to get there. It takes a village? It takes a gaggle.

Great shot!
