Their Rise

I wait. I watch. I look. I see. I listen.

In the beginning - there is nothing. A quiet contentment..a silent pause. The morning mist and fog has momentarily lifted...the sun is breaking thru. This begining is this new day.

As they soften into their grace..I feel the strength of their power.

As they root down..I wait. I know - what follows that root will be their rise.

I watch - as their breath deepens. Their wings spread wide..their hearts open. They fly away. And - I am left there standing. Watching. Waiting. Dreaming and imagining - what will be this day.

A shot with a bit of magic--the beginning of a day, the beginning of a flight with their wing tips just grazing the water, the beauty of their own colors. I really like your phrasing, too--"soften into their grace", "...their hearts open. They fly away." Pure poetry. This is a wonderful little reverie and you can be pleased with it.

Suddenly I am singing "Fly away with me!" Indeed. How gorgeous, Marcie.

I love how in tune you are with your surroundings and your ability to share the joy it brings you with others is the icing on the cake.

It must be so exciting to hold your breath and capture this magical moment when they all flutter into the sky. Something that looks so effortless but we know is impossible for us humans to do!

Marcie, it took me a couple minutes to read your text because the image was so beautiful. Oh my.

And then, loved, "As they soften into their grace, I feel the strength of their power.........what follows that root will be their rise."

The truth in that is not lost on me. How when we soften into grace, we gain power. We gain peace. And then when we're rooted or grounded or centered, we, our spirits, rise. I love how eloquently you wrote that. I can dwell on this all day.
