In Full Color
February 28, 2012
'Snow' - I heard one say to the other. 'They're predicting snow tomorrow.'
'Impossible' - the other said to the one. 'I'm in full bloom. I'm in full color. I'm quite sure that spring is here to stay.'
'Snow' - the one repeated...and said again. 'But here inside this window...we're together..and it's always nice and warm.'
He nodded his head. She looked up and smiled.
There was nothing more to say. No matter what the season - it was clear to me - that they were enjoying the best days of their lives.

Des couleurs de rêves...rêve de tropique bien sur.

In full color and Dutch-kist! I love it, Marcie. Maybe winter will finally go out with a bang?
I love your words, especially the closing sentence
Ooohhhh!! Those are gorgeous!
Cute little story. Lovely pic.
These are all fantastic posts on your blog today, such beautiful imagery and uplifting prose :^)

I turn my head, softly, and here it is: warm spring. Thank you!
amazing closeup
Hi Marcie,
Love the color here! Snow and tulips quite the combo! Enjoy. We are in the midst of an epic blizzard, or at least it seems that way to me.
Oh how I needed this image this morning! Thank you for your thoughtfulness and daily insights!!
a delightful photo & really quite exquisite.
Beautiful colors!
Love it! Those tulips are gorgeous - love the colour, love the light. What a perfect shot! And, I love your line 'they were enjoying the best days of their lives'. Joy!
Marcie - love this close-up view of their togetherness. Your composition holds so much vitality and movement and energy. Such a lovely riot of reds, yellows, oranges and spring green. Who cares if it does actually snow outside?
I like the unusual composition, the soft focus, the subdued colors. Wonderful!!!
Wonderful flower image. Like the soft color.
Ahhh. living our best life. A lesson!
Beautiful colours and I love the soft treatment. Is Winter through yet or not - that's the big question? I hope so.
Love these tulips -- aren;t they the perfect colors! I always bought flowers about this time of year when I was in Wisconsin. It made the spring season feel so much closer!
Marcie!!!! The captcha thing that I always fought with is...shhh...gone! :-) Is it working OK this way?
Beautiful flowers, nice and soft, I love it!
This and the previous one are 2 excellent pictures. But, what else from Marcie :-) I noticed yesterday that the sun is almost coming into the house. House faces north, in high summer the sun passes above the house. In winter the slanted sun shines into the northern rooms of the house. The sun is now touching the house - so we can start to expect some changes, although it was still 30 degrees C today.
Spring is almost, but not quite, here.
Your image makes me yearn for spring even more than I did before ;-)
Great macro shot, Marcie.
Pretty and nice post!!
Nice colours. I like the soft focus here
Wonderful, life-affirming post! The image detail is exceptional and very beautiful, and so are the subdued tones.
Just beautiful. You framed this one greatly!
The soft focus on this just makes me want to gather them up and twirl!
This one really touches me, Marcie. Not only for the pure beauty of the image but also for your accompanying thoughts. It's about fully enjoying and being present in those perfect moments while we can before snow or illness or just life interrupts us.
Great macro . Love the strong colors.
this made me smile, both photo and words.
beautiful, colorful, soft ...and I have a feeling it is from last year. do not see flowers around ;)
