Between Winter and Spring

Somewhere - I thought - between winter and spring.
The light has begun to take on that certain quality. That one that tells me that warmer days are sitting on our doorstep.
The water is still icey blue...reminding me that it's not over. Not yet. There's still more cold to come and go before we're thru.
The warrior tribes have begun taking up residence...delaring territories their own.
But for now - in this moment - it is quiet. The sun has only just raised its head and begun to warm the day. The birds..and ducks..and swans and geese - are shaking off the winter sleep...and looking towards spring.

Houston is so interesting. The lawn services are roaring to life, the nurseries are in full swing...we even had our first bbq last weekend...gasp! Seems too soon for me...but I love all of the open windows.

One day bitter cold, and the next warm and balmy. It has been a strange winter, and now looks to be a quick leap into spring. I look forward to experiencing it all through your brilliant photographs.

That icy-blue water is gorgeous - the very definition of "BLUE". I think we are all slowly waking up from winter's sleep. Another beautiful, dreamy, etheral image. You have the ability to evoke that quality in your images so effectively.
