Garden of Love
June 19, 2012
She fed it with patience and perseverance. She watered it with compassion. She sprinkled it - every day - with a healthy dose of courage.
She trusted. She believed. She nurtured and supported.
She watched - as it found its roots...as it grew and slowly blossomed. She marveled at its tenacity..its bravery..its strength. She celebrated its thorny branches..because she knew that they were what would keep it safe.
As it began to poke its pretty head thru the fence that had confined it - she danced a happy dance.
For this was her garden. A one that she dreamed of and imagined. A garden of happiness and joy. A one that was conceived of love.

Gorgeous photo and heart-warming words! The light is really wonderful here.
I like the scenery, the colors and the light background
A very fine combination of words and . . . I was about to type 'music' because that is all that is missing here.
A garden to die for!
Ooooh, sigh, how I wish to sit in this garden with a book and some tea
Beautifully written post. Touching words. Close to my heart.
I love this!
I'd like to go lay down in that garden this morning....
Wonderful post!
Love the colors!
Another wonderful garden shot - full of rioutous color and plants bursting from their fenced-in constraints.
This reminds me of my Dad's wife. Her garden was her joy and its willfulness pleased her. I have taken a bit of that from her.
Beautiful and joyful, Marcie. I can imagine you happy-dancing among it all.
What a beautiful garden, Marcie, and such beautiful words about it.
xo.
Oh, this garden is bursting with love and joy. Just makes me smile..who couldn't smile, at the sight of it. :) Beautiful!
Overwhelming, my friend. Another great essay & just what I so love about your imagery: Combining these little true stories with your so one of a kind photographs. And if that garden is just a mirror to the soul, we should all carry these gardens deep inside of us.
All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
This makes me smile.
proves to show that you reap what you sow.. ;D this does look lovely, looks like it was well taken care of.. nice shot! :)
Lovely, lovely! The garden, yes, but your photo even more. Great composition! Lovely colors. Love the blurred, light bg. Excellent!
This could be the story of my Mother..........
At this moment I miss my wife and mother very much ...
Tears in my eyes Marcie...
