Garden of Love

She fed it with patience and perseverance. She watered it with compassion. She sprinkled it - every day - with a healthy dose of courage.

She trusted. She believed. She nurtured and supported.

She watched - as it found its roots...as it grew and slowly blossomed. She marveled at its tenacity..its bravery..its strength. She celebrated its thorny branches..because she knew that they were what would keep it safe.

As it began to poke its pretty head thru the fence that had confined it - she danced a happy dance.

For this was her garden. A one that she dreamed of and imagined. A garden of happiness and joy. A one that was conceived of love.

A very fine combination of words and . . . I was about to type 'music' because that is all that is missing here.

This reminds me of my Dad's wife. Her garden was her joy and its willfulness pleased her. I have taken a bit of that from her.

Overwhelming, my friend. Another great essay & just what I so love about your imagery: Combining these little true stories with your so one of a kind photographs. And if that garden is just a mirror to the soul, we should all carry these gardens deep inside of us.
All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
