If I Should Dare

So easily - I could get lost. I could completely disappear. In and among the rows and rows of cornstalks that had stretched and grown so tall and so high.

I could laugh and shout and sing out loud without making a single sound. I could walk for hours and hours. Just thinking. Just imagining. Just pondering nothing. I could sit and read and not be found. Without any sort of direction or destination or goal...I might simply be left to just simply be.

I could - if I would -  feel the cool dampness of the morning fog...and the warmth of the noonday sun. I could - if I would -  smell the sweetness of rich dark earth....taste the vegetables growing...or just listen.

I could..if I would..if I should dare. Get myself lost..and maybe somewhere in there - I might find me.
