Fleeting

Fleeting - I thought. Like the summer.

It was - just yesterday - beginning...and now here we - at summer's end.

I missed it - I thought. That perfect shot..that perfect day..that perfect moment. It happened so fast..and now - it's passed.

Or - on second thought - Perhaps I didn't miss it at all. Perhaps - I captured it just as it was. Like this moment. Like this flash. Imperfectly perfect..and perfectly not so.

Too hot and too cool. Too dry and too wet. Much much too fast..and sometimes too slow. One minute here..the next minute not.

You did...you 'captured it just as it was'.....a perfect blessing on the passing of summer. The photo is just a great match.

Fleeting is how so much of it is. We wait for it, anticipate it, it comes, and then it's gone. Fleeting. Time. Events. Rendezvouses.....

It might have gone a bit too fast, but it was a rather perfect summer, heat and all. Love the heron, taking flight. You sure didn;t miss a great photo op with this one! You nailed it.

What an amazing image to illustrate the fleeting nature of, well, everything. I love the way you have captured the skimming of the water and the flying droplets - a record of flight beginning.
