Green Meets Green
August 8, 2012
Already - I'm feeling the loss of light. The sun rises later in the morning...and sets earlier with each passing night.
The air is still hot and heavy. Summer has not - yet - loosened its grip.
The palette - with which nature has left me to work with - is made up of countless shades of endless green. Some mornings - it appears that there's nothing but. Green meets green - as far as my eyes can see.
At first - they were nothing but spots of white in and among the morning fog and mist. But then - when I looked twice - I found that in the one spot of bright - they were having a party. They were laughing and dancing and singing their song. In the waning...in the lessening...of the early morning light.

What wonderful tonal qualities in this beautiful composition!
I love that photo! The subjects and the feel of it.
I would go dance with them...if I wouldn't scare them off! :D This is beautiful, Marcie.
wonderful, makes you want to step into the photograph
Beautiful!
A celebration of summer's green - in striipes and shades of every possibility. And there in middle of it all, they dance.
A gorgeous photo. We haven't had much light at all this summer...
i noticed this week how it's staying darker longer in the mornings. (i've been shuttling matthew to football practice at the crack of dawn:-) the softness of your image is lovely. they always look so astute.
maybe they're about to play something on the field
nice catch of them taking a stroll. :)
A wonderful composition with these geese Marcie.....
