In Silence

Bold and brave. Sweet and soft. Silent.

How she stood..how she walked..how her gaze met mine. Straight and strong. Confident and sure. Silent.

How she laughed..how she cried..how she looked at the world and how the world looked back. Deliberate and slow. And always - silent.

Something so familiar..and - yet - so not. Someone I was sure I knew..but who I'd never met. Someone young and someone old. Someone wise and - yet - one who is endlessly learning.

Could be you. Could be me. Could be any one of us who leads with patience and grace..and quiet fortitude and strength..and always -  in silence.
