A Whole New Day
September 23, 2012 
I forgot. For just one moment. I forgot.
I forgot to worry and wonder about where it is I'll be tomorrow. I forgot to look back at yesterday..and where it is I was.
I forgot about all of the broken promises..the unfulfilled wishes..the best made intentions. I forgot about all of that effort..that energy...that purposeful direction.
I forgot about time. I forgot about distance. I forgot that there was anything else and anywhere other that I needed to be.
The white fog and mist enveloped and held me...and the sun's light guided my way. The fading leaves glistened and glowed and worked their morning magic.
It was. It is. A whole new day.

As we headed out to fish this morning my husband began a litany of "I need to make a dentist appointment"..."we need to check on..." and I politely told him to please be quiet and let me enjoy the moments of the day...thankfully he listened and we had a grand time forgetting everything....except to enjoy. I love the birch tree...I think that is what it is...we don't have any around these parts ;)
