Color of Fire

A balanced mix between the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. A handful of joy...a sprinkling of sunshine...a whole lot of fun.

Against the backdrop of black and white - it's orange that I sought out today.

I'm feeling the fear. I'm feeling the resistance. I'm feeling all of those feelings that come with beginning anew. My head is telling me one thing..my heart - another. I'm holding court to a never ending internal dialogue....a waging war.

I don't..and I do.

I'm not...and I am.

I can't....and I can.

I won't...and yes yes yes - I will.

And so - it's to the intensity and spirit of orange that I've turned. The color of heat. The color of fire. The color of confident forward-moving creative desire.

Thank you for those vibrant colours, Marcie orange being one of my favourite colours with green gives so much warm. I love the fire it represents and I hope the answers you seek are going to find you soon

Fantastic composition and colors, I really appreciate the thought you put into your writing.

I like the color against the B&W patterned background. The spread oragnes are nicely balanced. The top petals seem a bit close to the edgr.

oh! i so can relate!
i am feeling so much the same
and your fire on black and white
releases the steam from the overheated
kettle in my head:)
thanks for that,
Jennifer

I am feeling so much the same and so often...
Blockages are challenging but the secret of the practice is keep on dealing with them till we manage to dissolve them... or till we learn simply to circle them
Orange is the color of the second chakra which is deeply related to utilization of creative forces into all aspects of being, and in particular to soul travels and adventures
It is involved when we want to direct self creativity, toward devotion
Your words and amazing images are always so meaningful. Thanks!

It's almost a "two in one" photo... B&w and then lots of colors.

Marci - this is so creative and lovely. I love the contrast of the deeply saturated fiery orange against the black and white backdrop. A happy and inspiring still life - at which you excel. I always view your still lifes and think "why didn't I think of that?"

By a funny quirky coincidence I just photographed a bowl of tangerines! Isn't it just what we need right now! But I am loving your combination of b/w flowers and how they dazzle too....a very thoughtful image.....and how you sought it out......

This post speaks to me in many ways . . . not least my own battle of emotions that I have going on too. Love the splash of color, I needed that today.
